I am the Managing Director of both the UK based firm Merseyside Polymer Processing Limited, and our Polish based sister company Matrix Polymers Poland.. Both companies belong to the Revolve Group (based in the UK), a plastics processing group of companies. CAPS has acted as our consultants as we've expanded and deepened our polymer processing business in Poland. CAPS has provided us with a full range of market entry consulting services including: locating a site for our new factory, negotiating favourable conditions for us with the owner of the factory site, recruiting staff for this facility, lobbying the local government on our behalf, advising on local cultural attitudes that could affect our business and sourcing production of various inputs that our production requires. We now also rely on CAPS for coordination of our logistics throughout Central Europe. The prices that they have been able to negotiate for us for transportation, on average represent a 20-30% savings on the prices we were paying our former providers.

Having successfully assisted in getting our factory in Poland up and running, the Revolve Group as a whole asked CAPS's multi-lingual staff to look at ways to help us expand our market base in Central Europe. Projects organized by CAPS that have come from this expanded cooperation include: technical cooperation with universities from the region who have polymer science divisions, organization of industry conferences throughout the region and the establishment of a new Central and Eastern European division of our international trade organization, the Association of Rotational Molders International.

Our experience with CAPS has been very beneficial. With CAPS we were able to expand our production into Central Europe efficiently and at much lower costs than we'd expected. And, we are already establishing ourselves as a market leader for polymer processing in this rapidly developing region. Much of the success for this endeavor has had to do with having access to the type of local knowledge that could have only been gained by having eyes and ears on the ground working on our behalf. CAPS has given us the competitive advantage we were looking for in Central Europe.
